How joia keeps payments transparent and traceable

A cross-border payment only works when everyone knows who’s involved. Here’s how we make that clear.

We verify every company

Before its first charge, each business goes through verification of its documents, its owners, and the bank account that will receive payouts.

Your customer sees who’s charging

Before your customer pays, the payment page shows your company’s name, the amount in reais, and the name of the payment provider they’ll see in their banking app.

Some payments get reviewed

Payments may be reviewed for compliance. When that happens, a payout can take longer or a payment can be declined.

What joia is, and isn’t

joia is software for creating charges and tracking payments. It is not a bank. Payment, currency conversion, and payout services are provided by third parties.

A record of every payment

Every payment has a receipt and a record you can export.

Your data

We collect what we need to verify companies and provide the joia software. Our privacy notice explains how we handle that data.

Tell us about your business.

We’ll show you how joia would work for your company, and what it would cost.
